Best Gas Can - For Campers With Generators

I actually bought another 2.5 gallon container, since the tanks are a "no stink" deal, I'll carry one in the back of the truck whenever I go camping!

I couldn't agree more about the no-spill gas jugs.  I have one for diesel (yellow in color), 2 five gallons for gas and a 1-1/4 gallon for gas.  Gone are my old stinky, vapor-belching, leak if they get knocked over POS cans--I'll never go back.

 

Although I may get criticism for this, I commonly take the 5 gallon cans in the back of my Subaru seventy miles to Costco for refilling and bring them back home with never a hint of gasoline smell.  If you buy a no-spill, I recommend also getting an flexible extension spout, seen here:

they can be stored with fuel in any position without leaking.

They are made the same as the originals, same thickness steel.

They also sell smaller cans, 5L and 10L.

I have a couple of those Gerdo & they are air tight. Made the mistake of opening one on a hot day that had a little bit of gas in it, POW!! Scared the crap out of me. LOL

Gas expands and contracts an incredible amount. I have seen them balloon and pancake from temp changes. You do have to ease them open.

I've never seen a gas can that will literally turn itself off - when I go to fill the generator, it's a tremendous asset to have the kind I posted.  I'm just too lame to handle anything over 2.5 gallons in size!

I have had two of those break, I now use the gas sold under the Briggs and Stratton brand. They have a positive shut off and are less expensive the the ones shown.
