From the Manufacturer:  The BaoFeng BF-888S is a compact hand held transceiver providing 2 watts in the frequency range of 400-480 MHz. You get up to 16 selectable memories (user-programmable). Other features include: selectable wide/narrow band, battery save function, VOX, DCS/CTCSS encode, and a built in flashlight.

My Experience:  I bought these (Aset of 2) on Amazon for $25.  i was looking for a solution to stay in contact with my family in areas with no cell phone reception (Jalama Beach Campground).  I read a lot of reviews for different walkie talkies but these were the highest reviewed - a 4.2 out of 5 from on Amazon from about 1600 reviewers.  These walkie talkies are great.  We used them a few times now and never had any signal issues and the sound is very good for a product this inexpensive.  For the price of these you can't go wrong.  I have not tested the max range out but they easily work throughout a campground.  If you are camping in an area with no cell service and want to be able to communicate with someone at a distance, then buy these.  Or buy them for your kids, my boys love them!

Walkie talkies are a must if one finds themselves caravaning with other RVs. Being able to communicate when someone needs a potty break or lunch is golden and cell phones don't always work in remote areas. These look like a very inexpensive solution and if they sound good and the range is decent, the price is right.
