Re: 2014 Pismo Beach Rally - 4/3/2014 - 4/8/2014

Hi Engunir, The rally will probably only have Lance owners and anyone else who is interested in Lance are always welcome to stop by or camp with us! We don't have any vendors scheduled, but they're always welcome. Our knowledge base is pretty experienced, so if you or any attendees have any questions we are always there to answer any questions. To date, we have a whale watching trip planned and then there are always wine tasting trips, potluck dinners and such. We also plan on driving at...

Re: Good Sam RV GPS

Update - I downloaded a huge map update about a week ago. The issue with speed limit accuracy seems to have been corrected. Rand Mcnally also made a number of other software upgrades. For instance, split screens at intersections, etc. Today, we were in Pueblo, CO, and decided to check out potential camp grounds in the area. We used the GPS database to locate some, and had it take us to them for future reference. We're very pleased with the Good Sam GPS overall. Don

Re: Inexpensive Front Receiver

macotak ·
Bruce, Don, It's a well-made part and installed easily, but ran into a little hitch... sorry. The plastic fascia on the underside of my bumper molds too close to the receiver to get a hitch pin in, see pics. I've been meaning to re-tackle this problem as I could have used it last weekend while backing the TT into another tight spot. I'm either going to cut a slot in the plastic or design and machine a custom split-pin on a kind of wishbone arrangement that will fit within the tight...

Re: Lance Factory Tour and BBQ Rally

One of the of fun parts of attending the rally is driving to the factory in a huge convoy of Lance campers and trailers It's very impressive. The factory closes the street at the factory so we can park and they take pictures. I'm sure it is a great marketing tool/event for Lance. All I can say, its impressive to see all the campers and trailers lined up on the street. However based on the number that it appears that have signed up this year we may need to split up the convey. Wait till you...

Re: Micro-Air Easy Start--install and 2000 watt Generator

The price difference between 2k and 3k inverters, is quite a bit. The price difference between inverters and hybrid, is even more. I haven't had a converter, for last two years and don't foresee a reason to add one. I don't have MW nor do I intend to get one. I seldom use one at home, so see no need camping. I'm considering MS, instead of pure, since AC can run on both. Opinion is split, if mod will hurt AC or not. I currently run compressor freezer or small AC on small mod inverter and...

I guess we have different perspectives on cost. I was thinking in terms relative to the cost of the trailer and to the overall cost of the solar/lithium/inverter package. I just looked at AM Solar and a Magnum 3000 Hybrid was 2239 and a 2000 non Hybrid was 1735, for a 504 difference. I think that difference is larger than it should be as I only paid 1700 for my 3000 Hybrid; but the AM Solar example is likely the worst case. When I bought mine I would only have saved 300.00 going 2000 watt...
